Yohji Yamamoto

Identity system design and creative direction for Yohji Yamamoto, one of fashion's most singular and enduring creative forces.

Working with Yohji demands a particular kind of restraint, one that honors the radical minimalism at the center of his practice without disappearing into it. The identity system we developed operates in that space: precise without being cold, reduced without being absent. Typography is treated as a design element in its own right, with the same care Yohji brings to a seam or a silhouette.

The visual identity spans logo, print, editorial, and campaign applications. Photography by Naoki Ishizaka and Marc Hohmann. Work that sits inside one of the most respected design legacies in fashion and knows better than to raise its voice.
